SNAP (Food Stamp) Outreach in Ocean City

The SNAP Outreach team from the Community FoodBank of NJ will visit the Neighborhood & Social Services office in Ocean City this Friday, November 20, to help low-income families see if they may qualify for food stamps.

They will be there from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and help those people likely to be eligible for food stamp benefits to fill out an online application. Support in English and Spanish will be available. Neighborhood & Social Services is located at 821 Central Avenue.

The Outreach team provides free SNAP eligibility pre-screenings at emergency food pantries, senior centers, soup kitchens, churches, and other community sites serving low-income families in 18 New Jersey counties.

The Community FoodBank of NJ also distributes 43 million pounds of food a year to more than 1,400 programs which feed almost 1 million New Jersey residents.
