Snow Blankets Ocean City Boardwalk: Share Your Photos

OCEAN CITY, NJ - Of course summer in Ocean City is beautiful, but there’s also something to be said for a Boardwalk that has a bit of snow on the ground.
As snow began to fall across South Jersey on Wednesday, Ocean City’s official Facebook page posted a montage of images of snow on the ground near the Ocean City Music Pier. “Beautiful in Ocean City!” the post reads. The montage included images of snow on the boardwalk and the beach. (See embed below).
Snow was expected to continue to fall until 5 p.m., with 3-5 inches of accumulation possible, according to the National Weather Service. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 6 p.m.

The planning board meeting scheduled for Wednesday night was postponed until Dec. 12 due to weather.
"Travel conditions could be hazardous and visibility limited" officials said in a special weather statement Wednesday afternoon. "Please be advised that West Avenue is an emergency route and parking is prohibited on both sides of the street when the road is covered by snow."

It was expected to be cloudy Wednesday night, with an afternoon high near 36 and a low near 28. Snow may return later this week, on Sunday night. See the full forecast below.
