Stabbing, Assault At Atlantic City Resort Under Investigation, Reports Say
Police said a man was stabbed and a woman was assaulted Sunday night at the Showboat Resort in Atlantic City.
ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — A Newark man was stabbed and a Maryland woman was assaulted Sunday night at the Showboat Resort Atlantic City, according to multiple reports.
Police were called to the Boardwalk hotel at 10:37 p.m. for a report of a stabbing, according to the Press of Atlantic City and 6abc Action News. The woman was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus, while the man later arrived there after friends drove him, according to the Press of Atlantic City. Both had injuries that were not considered life-threatening, the reports said.
A spokesperson for the resort told NBC Philadelphia that the violence began during a fight in one of the property's restaurants Sunday and involved two men and a woman. The spokesperson did not say how the third man was involved.

In a statement published by NBC Philadelphia, the resort said, “We immediately turned the case over to the Atlantic City Police Department, including video footage from our security cameras and a full investigation is under way.”
6abc reported no arrests had been announced as of Monday, and police said they had reviewed video circulating on social media as part of the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Atlantic City police, according to the Press of Atlantic City.
