STARS Program Celebrates Performers Of All Abilities In Ocean City
Ocean City Theatre Company's STARS Program invites those with physical, cognitive or developmental disabilities to study the arts.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — The Greater Ocean City Theatre Company (OCTC) wants everyone to be able to enjoy the theatre arts, regardless of their abilities.
Following their commitment to making arts accessible in an inclusive environment, OCTC has announced the return of their STARS Program this summer.
The OCTC STARS program is intended to spark creativity, social interaction and positive self-esteem through singing, acting and dancing, according to the theatre company.

This one-week experience is open to teens (13+) through adult age groups who have physical, cognitive, or developmental disabilities. OCTC's STARS Program will create opportunities for skill-building through improv/character exercises, vocal warm-ups/tongue twisters and artistic collaboration. At the end of the week, there will be a showcase at the OCTC studio for friends and family members to watch their star shine in a devised theater piece.
The 2024 Summer STARS program will run Aug. 12-16 from 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. for a registration fee of $75.
