Statewide BBQ Competition Returns To Cape May Co. This Weekend
The New Jersey State Barbecue Competition features delicious food, drinks, live music and more.
NORTH WILDWOOD, NJ — Bring your appetite (and maybe a few napkins, too) - the New Jersey State Barbecue Competition returns to North Wildwood on July 8.
This three-day fair features championship vendors offering delicious meals and plenty of other treats. Special displays and live cooking demonstrations entertain visitors to this open air festival. Plus, its held in conjunction with The Anglesea Blues Festival, so you can enjoy great live music while you pig out.
The competition is sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Association, and last year, more than $10,000 in cash and prizes were given out, according to the competition's website. The Grand Champion is invited to compete in the exclusive world championship, the American Royale, held annually in Kansas City, Missouri.
