"If they landed in the pool, then its not a tragedy," Colbert said. "It's a sprite commercial."
"The coaster in question was the GaleForce coaster at Playland's Castaway Cove in Ocean City, New Jersey, which was undergoing a routine safety check on April 20th. Well everybody knows that the best time to do a safety check at an amusement park is on 4/20," Colbert joked.

For what it's worth, park Vice President Brian Hartley told Patch the incident occurred on April 13 — not April 20, considered by some a day for celebrating marijuana. But who are we to let accuracy get in the way of a good joke?
No one was injured in the incident. The park checked all their safety harnesses and found they were still in place and locked in, Hartley said.
The rollercoaster undergoes 13 to 15 test rides per morning, as well as monthly and annual inspections, Hartley said. There's no way of knowing exactly when the dummies broke and leaked, he said. Hartley describes them as an "inflatable raft-type material."
