Stockton Goes to Another Beach With Concerts
After five years in Ocean City, Richard Stockton College will take its summer concert series to Cape May.

The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey will announce today a new partnership with the City of Cape May to bring its popular Stockton Goes to the Beach concert series to the new Cape May Convention Center starting this summer.
For the past five years, the summer concerts have been held at the and have brought nationally known entertainment to the resort.

At a noon press conference at City Hall in Cape May, Stockton will announce its new venue, its lineup of concerts for the summer and a new partnership with the to produce summer children's theater in Cape May.
Stockton Goes to the Beach brought seven concerts to the Music Pier in 2011 on Monday nights between July 11 and Aug. 22. The acts ranged from the Southern rock of the Marshall Tucker Band to the '60s sounds of Herman's Hermits to Abba Mania.

The Ocean City concert series was "extremely well-attended," according to Stockton Performing Arts Center Marketing Director Suzé DiPietro. She said Stockton would decline to comment on the reasons for the move until after today's press conference in Cape May.
