'Stranger Things' Star Makes Prom-Photo Visit To Ocean City

One of the stars of the hit Netflix show "Stranger Things" chose his native New Jersey as the setting for his pre-prom photos, reports say.

Gaten Matarazzo, a Little Egg Harbor native, visited Ocean City for a pre-prom photoshoot with his friends, according to The Press of Atlantic City.

Matarazzo also posted pictures of him and his pals, according to The Press of Atlantic City, walking past shops along the boardwalk.

The 16-year-old, who plays Dustin Henderson on the coming-of-age horror TV show that's set in the 1980s, posted a picture on Instagram that says: "Do-over!!!! I like this first pic better. Junior prom with my best friends and the most beautiful girlfriend ever."

has made other high-profile visits to New Jersey, performing with his band "Work in Progress" in Asbury Park and elsehwere.

Earlier this year, Matarazzo was scheduled to visit Manahawkin for a personal cause, headlinimg "Gaten's Angels for CCD Smiles 2019," an event raising money for cleidocranial dysplasia (CCD).

Matarazzo has CCD and raises awareness on the condition. CCD is a birth defect that mostly affects the growth of bones and teeth, according to the U.S. National Library of Medicine.
