Super Hero Convention Coming to Ocean City

OC Con is scheduled for April 9-10.

Ocean City, NJ -- Super heroes are coming to save Ocean City.

A weekend devoted to comics is set for April 9-10. OC Con will give fans the opportunity to meet the creators of super heroes and comic book characters at the Music Pier, Boardwalk and Moorlyn Terrace.

This will include Paris Cullins of DC and Marvel Comics, Rusty Gilligan of Marvel Comics, Disney Films, and Upper Deck, Bob Petrecca of DC Comics, Marvel Comics and Upper Deck, and many more creative writers and artists. Discussion panels are planned for both days.

There will be a costume contest on Sunday, April 10, 2 p.m.

The weekend begins on Saturday, April 9, 9 a.m.with a one mile Super Hero Run followed by a Super Hero Obstacle Dash at noon. Contestants are encouraged to compete in superhero costumes. Register at http://www.ocnj.us/Race-Events.

Show hours are Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults, $2 for children (12-and-under). Two-day admissions are $8 for adults, $3 for children (12 and under).

Comic Book and Memorabilia vendors are wanted.
