Survivor of Sept. 11 Terrorist Attacks to Speak at Ocean City Tabernacle on Sunday

After surviving the attack on the World Trade Center, Sujo John dedicated his life to evangelical ministry and motivational speaking.

Ocean City, NJ -- A survivor of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attack on the World Trade Center will speak during the Ocean City Tabernacle’s Sunday services this weekend.

Sujo John will speak at the Tabernacle on Sunday morning, July 31, during the 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services.

John, who had just moved to America from India six months before the attacks, was working on the North Tower's 81st floor during the attacks.

His pregnant wife, Mary, was on the South Tower's 71st floor.

After they both survived the attacks, Sujo John was inspired to dedicate his life to international evangelical ministry and motivational speaking.

He is the founder of "YouCanFree.Us," which is a movement dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating victims of human trafficking.

Ocean City Mayor Jay Gillian, first responders, police officers, firemen, VFW members, and other local heroes will be honored guests during these services, which are being held in advance of the 15th anniversary of the terrorist attacks.

At 7 p.m., the inspired five-piece musical group, Veritas will perform. Veritas will impart a fresh twist on the contemporary classical genre with a message of faith, hope, and love.

The Tabernacle hosts distinguished guest speakers and performers Sunday mornings (8:30 - 10:30) from Memorial Day to September 11, and Sunday evenings (7 p.m.) in July and August.

In addition, the Tabernacle hosts Sunday morning services at the Ocean City Music Pier at 8 a.m. in July and August.

Bible study is offered Tuesdays in July and August. All are welcome.
