'Teddy And The Bears' Is Theme Of Children's Tea Party

The event is Feb. 10 at the Ocean City Historical Museum.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — The theme for this year’s Children’s Tea event at the Ocean City Historical Museum is “Teddy and the Bears,” city officials announced this week. The event for children ages 5-10 years old is set for Saturday, Feb. 10, 11:45 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Visitors can learn about a proper Victorian Tea, do arts and crafts and, most of all, enjoy an afternoon tea. Theodore Roosevelt, his daughter Annie and a whole bunch of teddy bears will join the fun this year. Children are invited to bring a special bear. Space is limited and tickets are on sale now.

Members of the Ocean City Historical Museum are able to purchase tickets at $8 per person. Others can purchase their tickets for $10 per person. Tickets must be purchased in advance. To purchase tickets, call 609-399-1801 or stop by the museum, located within in the Ocean City Community Center, 1735 Simpson Avenue. The museum is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
