The Best Meal Deals in Ocean City

With the effects of the recession lingering and gasoline prices at $1 more per gallon than they were at the same time last year, visitors are looking for bargains when it comes to dining out.

Dino Tridente, manager of at 656 Boardwalk, has noticed the change in customers’ spending habits.

“People are going to the beach with drinks and snacks,” he says. “They’re spending less on the Boardwalk.”

To counter that, and to thank the hundreds of repeat customers he has attracted to Roma in his 25 years there, he introduced a special that gives a free pitcher of fountain soda (value $6) to anyone purchasing a whole pizza.

“It’s difficult to feed a family for $20,” says the father of five.

His pizzeria, like many on the Boardwalk, also discounts slices at closing time. A slice can range in price from $2.25 for plain at some places to as much as $6 for a fully loaded, big-enough-to-share slice at other places. Closing time prices range from $1 to $4 a slice.

EARLY EATERS
