OCEAN CITY, NJ — Students are heading back to school and the end of summer is nearly upon us.

As the days get shorter, there will be fewer guarded beaches in Ocean City before they close entirely for the season.

Through Labor Day, Sept. 2, these beaches will be guarded. The Ocean City Beach Patrol guards beaches from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekends and holidays, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays.
