Additional guarded beaches will be added through the rest of June. The Ocean City Beach Patrol also said it will be staffed with response teams to assist with rescues on all beaches, including areas without regularly posted guards.
Beachgoers may not always find lifeguard stands placed directly at the end of a street. Stands may be moved to the safest area depending on water conditions, a reminder that beach conditions can shift from day to day and even within the same stretch of shoreline.
