Three 'Women Of Wonder' To Be Honored In Ocean City

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Three "Women of Wonder" awardees will be honored in a ceremony Thursday. Ocean City Library Director Karen Mahar is one of three honorees.

The Atlantic Cape Community College Foundation and the Cape May County Women’s Commission invite the public to the 2019 Women of Wonder Luncheon. The event will take place at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at The Flanders Hotel.

  • Stormy Freese, microbiologist, Cape May County Department of Mosquito Control
  • Shirley "Becki" Wilson, commissioner, Delaware River and Bay Authority

Tickets for this scholarship fundraiser are available by visiting www.atlantic.edu/wow or calling 609-463-3621. This charity luncheon will include remarks from Atlantic Cape and Women's Commission representatives, stories from Atlantic Cape students and an award presentation for the three recipients.

The "Women of Wonder" league recognizes influential women for their selfless dedication in helping others reach their potential. Their special-recognition events inspire the generosity of local donors and sponsoring businesses. Donations give at-risk Cape May County students the opportunity to attend Atlantic Cape Community College and become future community leaders.
