Trail of Two Cities 5K to Cross New Causeway
The annual race will give runners and walkers a chance to travel Route 52 causeway on foot.

The 16th annual is set for Nov. 5 and will give participants a chance to climb the new Ninth Street Bridge and to say goodbye to the old Ship Channel drawbridge leading to Somers Point.
The 5-kilometer event starts in Ocean City, crosses the (mostly) reconstructed Route 52 causeway and ends in Somers Point's Kennedy Park. The causeway will be closed to traffic during the run.
The race begins 8 a.m. Nov. 5 at the , 10th Street and Haven Avenue.
Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in age group (10-year increments, with smaller brackets for 19-and-unders). There will be special awards to the male and female with the best overall times.
Walkers will have for the opportunity to take in the sights, snap photos, enjoy a relaxed workout and be among the first to navigate the new causeway by foot.

No pets, skate boards, bikes or roller blades will be allowed because of insurance restrictions.
Preregistration is $20 if received by Oct. 28 and $25 the day of the race. No mail-ins will be accepted after Oct. 28. Immediate families of up to four may register for a discounted price of $60. Separate registration forms are required for each family participant. Families must pre-register and all forms must be mailed together.
Same day registration starts 7 a.m. at the Ocean City Transportation Center, 10th and Haven Ave. Packet pick-up and late entry will also be conducted at the Transportation Center. Buses will be available at the finish line at JFK Park in Somers Point to transport runners to the start before the race from 7 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. Buses will also transport runners back to Ocean City at the conclusion of the race.

The finish and awards ceremony will be held at JFK Park after all participants have completed the course. Shirts are guaranteed to first 300 pre-registrants or while supplies last. Refreshments will be available at the conclusion of the event.
