Tropical Storm Rain To Graze The Jersey Coast

The storm will possibly bring rain and thunderstorms to the area.

The first tropical storm of the season is named Ana, and it’s currently off the coast of the Carolinas.

The storm’s bands could be in the Ocean City area by Monday or Tuesday, but the storm is only projected to bring rain and thunderstorms to the Jersey coast, according to OCNY Daily.

The greatest potential for heavy rain and flash flooding is in southeast North Carolina and northeast South Carolina, according to The Weather Channel.

Gusty winds pick up in coastal North Carolina and coastal South Carolina Saturday and will continue Sunday, before spreading from North Carolina to southeast Virginia Monday, according to the report.

Some gusts over 40 mph are likely, and some downed tree limbs and sporadic power outages are possible, the report said.
