Van Drew is the only Democrat in New Jersey's Congressional delegation opposed to an impeachment inquiry. The 2nd District representative said he believes there's a lack of evidence that Trump did anything that rises to an impeachable offense.
"Let the people impeach," Van Drew said on the Fox News program. "We are going to have an election very shortly."

Van Drew called for Congress to finalize investigations into Trump last May. Special Counsel Robert Mueller completed his report in March regarding Trump and Russian efforts to interfere with the 2016 presidential election. However, Democrats were still in the midst of pushing Attorney General William Barr to release Mueller's unredacted report.
"We must finalize these investigations and bring all of this to a conclusion in a timely manner," Van Drew said in a statement. "The people are exhausted with the bad gift that keeps on giving: the Mueller Report. They are tired of the investigations. They are tired of the accusations. They are tired of the reports. Every time it seems we are close to the finish line we take two steps back."
