Two New Jersey teenage girls were killed and two others were injured Saturday morning just hours after their high school prom, police said.
Daisia Sulton, 17, and Mikayla Mosley, 15, died after the crash, police said. The two other unidentified girls in the car were in stable condition early Sunday.
The girls, who were students at Bridgeton High School, were driving on Route 49 in Maurice River Township at about 3:45 a.m. when the car veered off the road and hit a tree, police said.

Thomasina Jones, Bridgeton’s school superintendent, told The Press of Atlantic City that the students were in the 10th and 11th grades.
“Our hearts and prayers go out to the families, and certainly we are praying for the two students who are in the hospital right now. We want them to pull through and recover from the crash,” she told the The Press.
Students mourned the loss through the weekend.
“I lost two of my best friends on the same day,” Niajah Rainner, who was friends with both girls, told CBS2. “Prom is supposed to be a happy day, not when you die.”
Sulton, Mosley and two of their friends were on their way back from Ocean City after the Bridgeton High School prom, according to the report.
“Nobody needs to experience this pain,” Sharon Hood, Mosley’s aunt, said in the report. “This pain is physically hurting us. Nobody should ever feel this. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy.”
Senate President Steve Sweeney issued the following statement Sunday after learning about the tragic crash:
“I send my deepest condolences to the families of the teenagers killed in this weekend’s terrible accident in Cumberland County, and my most heartfelt well-wishes for a speedy and complete recovery to those still fighting for their lives."
A large gathering of Mosley’s extended family and friends came together at her Bridgeton home to mourn, according to the report.
