Upper Township Captures District Little League Crown

A year after winning the district title in a combined team with Ocean City, the Upper Township Little League 11-12 baseball team won the District 16 title Wednesday night, The Press of Atlantic City reports.

Upper Township defeated Northfield, 10-0, to win the title in Somers Point. Upper will now compete for the Section 4 title in Monroe, beginning July 18, according to the report.

Tommy Finnegan picked up the win with seven strikeouts, allowing one hit and two walks. Finnegan and Joe Repetti each had two hits. Chris Armstrong led the way with three hits.
