Wacky Wednesday Themes, Hermit Crab Beauty Pageant In Ocean City
The next two Wednesdays are going to be pretty wacky in America's Greatest Family Resort.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — The theme for the next two Wacky Wednesdays in Ocean City has been set. On Wednesday, Aug. 8, “That’s How The Cookie Crumbles.” Use your creativity to shape and sculpt a cookie into your very own unique masterpiece.
The contest is free, and open to all ages. It is limited to 150 participants. The contest begins at 10:30 a.m. at the Music Pier, Moorlyn Terrace and Boardwalk. For more information, call 609-399-6111.
On Wednesday, Aug. 15, it’s time for Paperclip Sculpting and Little Miss/Mister Chaos and Miss/Mister Miscellaneous. Use your creativity to shape and sculpt paper clips into your very own unique masterpiece. The contest is free and open to all ages.

As the sculptors work, who will win the titles of Miss and Mister Miscellaneous? This hidden and unique talent competition is for anyone over the age of 6. Judges are looking for unusual and unique talents.
Plus, Little Miss and Little Mister Chaos, which requires boys and girls from 3 to 5 years of age to make as much noise as possible by banging on supplied pots and pans. The contest is free and open to all ages. It begins at 10:30 a.m. at the Music Pier. For more information, call 609-399-6111.

Speaking of wacky, the Miss Crustacean Hermit Crab Beauty Pageant and the Hermit Crab Races are also set for Wednesday, Aug. 15.
The original beauty contest for crustaceans invites families, kids, businesses and organizations enter their crustacean in this annual contest. The winner receives the coveted Cucumber Rind Cup and gets to walk down a flowery runway. Registration is free and starts at 5:30 p.m. at the Sixth Street Beach. Contest begins at 6 p.m. Open to all ages. For more information, call 609-399-6111.
