A Very Ocean City Christmas Highlights Final Weekend Before Christmas

A look at some events in Ocean City through the end of the year.

Ocean City, NJ -- With Christmas one week away, the final weekend of holiday events in Ocean City is upon us.

The weekend is highlighted by "A Very Ocean City Christmas." The Ocean City Pops and Ocean City Theatre Company will present their annual holiday show at the Ocean City Tabernacle, 550 Wesley Avenue. This will be a high-energy, family-oriented song and dance tribute to Christmas.

The holiday will come to life with a brand new journey through seasonal favorites. Showtimes are Dec. 16 at 7:30 p.m. and Dec. 17 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15 for children (12 and under), $18 for seniors, and $20 for adults.

All tickets are general admission, and doors open 30 minutes prior to the shows. Tickets are available at the City Hall Welcome Center or visit www.ocnj.us/boxoffice. For more information call, 609-399-6111.

This weekend will be the final weekend to have Breakfast With Santa. Santa will be at Arlene’s on Asbury, 624 Asbury Avenue on Saturday, Dec. 17. He will then be at Jon & Patty’s Coffee Bar & Bistro, 637 Asbury Avenue on Sunday, Dec. 18. Breakfast is 8 a.m.-11:30 a.m. each day.

Santa Claus will also be available for photos on a lifeboat between 5th and 6th streets on the Boardwalk for a $10 charge from noon-3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17, and Sunday, Dec. 18. Call 1-800-BEACH-NJ for information.

It is also the final weekend for free Horse And Carriage Rides. They start in front of City Hall, and run from noon-3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17, and Sunday, Dec. 18. Call 1-800-BEACH-NJ for information.

"12 Flutes of Christmas" featuring Pamela Whitman is Sunday, Dec. 18, 2 p.m. in the Chris Maloney Lecture Hall of the Library.

Stores on Asbury Avenue in Ocean City's Downtown are open until 8 p.m. on Friday nights through Dec. 23.
