Winners Of Ocean City Arts Center Juried Art Show Announced

OCEAN CITY, NJ — The winners of Ocean City Arts Center's 2022 Annual Juried Art Show were announced at their Nov. 11 artists' reception.

There were 129 entries this year with 36 selected for the show, and OCAC judges thought it was "obvious" that twice that number could have been selected if there were more exhibit space to hang the work.

This year’s winners were:

Best in Show Andrew Keena “Tranquility” (oil)

2nd Place Marie Natale “Festive Princess” (watercolor)

3rd Place Rita Michalenko “Jeffer’s Landing Marsh” (pastel)

Honorable Mentions -

Valerie Schulte “Vintage Suits” (acrylic)

Tyler Steel “Afternoon Commute” (acrylic)

Christine Wuillermin “Seed Pods” (print)

The judges were: Sharon Kiefer, Curator of Exhibitions at Perkins Center for the Arts; Chuck Law, Visual Artist from Linwood; and Katherine Aikens, Art Gallery Coordinator and Art Instructor at Atlantic Cape Community College, Mays Landing.

The exhibit runs through Nov. 26.
