Y.A.L.E. School Hosts Workshop for Educators to Help Students

International Speaker Will Teach Mindfulness and Resilience Practices Designed to Help 'At-Risk' Students

Northfield, NJ – Y.A.L.E. School’s Northfield Campus, serving students with emotional, behavioral, social or learning disabilities, will host an important workshop for Child Study Team members, social workers, psychologists, and special education professionals, entitled: Mindfulness and Resilience: Strength-based Practices for ‘At-Risk’ Students. The workshop will take place on February 22nd at the school’s Northfield campus, 1000 Burton Avenue.

The internationally recognized presenter, Katie Curran, BCBA, MAPP, is the founder and CEO of Proof Positive, which provides customized training, coaching, and mentoring in the science and skills of positive psychology. Curran holds a Masters of Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. Katie served as a leader on the Penn Master Resilience Training team, working alongside the US Army in the largest positive psychology intervention in history. Having worked with a broad range of people ranging from individuals with autism to elite athletes, Katie will teach attendees how to help and support ‘at-risk’ students through mindfulness and resilience, two effective strength-based practices.
