You Can Vote For Ocean City As 'NJ's Favorite Beach'

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Can Ocean City make it five straight years? The city is in the running for "New Jersey's Favorite Beaches" after winning the NJ Sea Grant Consortium's contest four consecutive times.

Beaches are separated by county to begin voting. In Cape May County, Ocean City is up against Avalon, Cape May, North Wildwood, Sea Isle City, Stone Harbor, Strathmore, Wildwood and Wildwood Crest.

Ocean City, Wildwood Crest, Cape May, Wildwood and Sea Isle City completed last year's Cape May County top five, in that order. Ocean City won overall voting last year, with Margate placing second.

The NJSGC created the beach competition in 2008 to encourage stewardship and pride in the "sand and surf" hotspots with some friendly competition. The organization began determining winners in individual counties in 2016.

Winners will be announced during a live beachside ceremony before July 4.
