OCEAN CITY, NJ — Halloween may be over, but ghouls are still wandering Ocean City. You can watch them sing and dance at Ocean City Theatre Company's production of "Zombie Prom" this weekend.

The production features students between 7th and 12th grade and runs Nov. 4 and 5 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 apiece and are available through Ocean City's Information Centers, by calling 609-399-6111, or by visiting oceancityvacation.com/boxoffice.

"The students of Enrico Fermi High have all the typical teen concerns: classes, after-school activities, who’s dating whom, and, of course, zombies," OCTC said. "'Zombie Prom' is a girl-loves-ghoul rock-n-roll off-Broadway musical set in the atomic 1950s to a tuneful selection of original songs in the style of 50s hits."

"At Enrico Fermi High School, where a zany, tyrannical principal lays down the law, pretty senior Toffee has fallen for the class bad boy. Family pressure forces her to end the romance, and he charges off on his motorcycle to the nuclear waste dump," OCTC said. "He returns glowing and determined to reclaim Toffee’s heart and graduate, but most of all, he wants to take Toffee to the prom. The principal orders him to drop dead, and a scandal reporter seizes on him as the latest great freak show."

The New York Daily News said that "Zombie Prom" is "A musical blast! Fun for the whole nuclear family!"

"Exhilarating! Sharp, spiffy, brighter, and better than both The Rocky Horror Show and Grease put together. It has musical wit and breathtakingly catchy, rich melodies," said the New York Law Journal.
