2 Bergen County Football Players Named To All-America Game Roster

Don Bosco's Tommy DeVito is one of the best quarterbacks in the country and Drew Singleton is a four-star recruit at Paramus Catholic.

Two Bergen County star football players will take to the national stage at the 2017 Under Armour High School All-America game Jan. 1.

Tommy DeVito and Drew Singleton are two of North Jersey’s best players. They were named to the game’s roster Wednesday.

DeVito, a three-star senior quarterback at Don Bosco in Ramsey, will play for the Syracuse University Orangemen. He is the sixth-ranked quarterback in the state, according to 247sports.com.

The 6-foot-2, 191-pound DeVito is one of the finalists for the Elite 11 competition, the nation’s premier quarterback contests.

Drew Singleton torn his ACL during the Paladins’ first game of the season, but that did not stop him from enjoying the moment.

“My dream is to be a general on the field and to lead my team at all times,” Singleton said.Singleton, a four-star linebacker, has received offers from more than 20 schools, but has yet to announce where he will attend.
