Amazon Store Coming To Garden State Plaza
The online retail giant is expected to create 2,500 jobs in New Jersey.

PARAMUS, N.J. — Amazon is planning to open a bookstore at the Westfield Garden State Plaza this year, the company announced Thursday.
Paramus is just one of the five locations where Amazon plans to open bookstores. The others are in Manhattan, Massachusetts, and Illinois.
Amazon currently employs more than 11,000 people in New Jersey across seven sites. The company has plans to add additional fulfillment centers in the Garden State that will create 2,500 additional full-time jobs.

Since 2011, Amazon has created more than 150,000 jobs across the country, and plans to create another 100,000 full-time jobs in the next 18 months.
Amazon did not say exactly how many jobs would be based out of the Paramus store.

Amazon has pop-up stores in the Deptford Mall and Freehold Raceway Mall.
