PARAMUS, NJ — An evening of live music in Paramus will carry an important message Saturday as Busterstock returns to the Main Public Library.

The Paramus Police Department-sponsored event will run from 7 to 9 p.m. at 116 E. Century Road. The Marri family and friends will perform cover songs from the 1970s and '80s, giving attendees a chance to revisit some familiar favorites while gathering as a community.

But the concert is about more than the music. According to the borough, its purpose is "to remind us about the impact that addiction and overdose have on our lives."

Food trucks will also be on hand during the gathering, according to the borough's event listing.

Busterstock arrives as communities continue working to bring conversations about substance use and overdose into public spaces. By pairing that message with live entertainment, the Paramus event offers residents a welcoming setting to spend time together while recognizing an issue that has affected families across New Jersey.

The gathering is scheduled outside the Main Public Library, which is also home to the Paramus bandshell and hosts community concerts throughout the summer.

Residents planning to attend may want to check the borough's website or social media pages before leaving home for any weather-related announcements or other updates about Saturday's event.
