Bergen County, Bergen New Bridge Announce Mobile COVID-19 Testing

Beginning Tuesday, May 12, a community mobile testing program offering walk-up COVID-19 and antibody testing will be available.

BERGEN COUNTY — In an effort to expand testing in the county, Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco announced in a news release that, in partnership with Bergen New Bridge Medical Center, a new mobile testing program will be made available to municipal residents, and those who work there, beginning Tuesday, May 12.

The community mobile testing program will make saliva COVID-19 testing available to residents, healthcare workers and municipal or county employees who work in Bergen County — with proof of employment — as well as antibody testing.

Tedesco said the expansion of testing will hopefully bring the county "one step closer to where we all hope to be."

“We will be traveling throughout towns in Bergen County to test their residents. This is a critical component in our battle against the virus and is in lockstep with the Governor’s requirements to reopen our state,” said Bergen New Bridge President and CEO, Deborah Visconi, in a statement.

Testing will be available from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. First responders will receive priority testing from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. If taking a saliva test, it is asked that you do not eat, drink, smoke or chew gum 30 minutes prior to arrival.
