Bergen Meth Dealer Hit With Child Porn Charges: Prosecutor

A Washington man was hit with multiple drug charges this summer, then authorities began investigating him for child pornography.

WASHINGTON, NJ — A Washington man was arrested in July after selling crystal meth to an undercover police officer. He was arrested again in September after police said he sold crystal meth again, and again in January, but for a different charge: child porn.

Michael Rosen was arrested on Jan. 7 in Paramus after a Cyber Crimes Unit investigation found that he used the internet to download over 4,600 digital files depicting children in sexually explicit ways on at least two electronic devices, authorities said.

He is charged with possession of child pornography, the Prosecutor's Office announced, but that's just the latest criminal charge to be brought against Rosen.

In July, Rosen was identified by the Prosecutor's Office Narcotics Task Force for selling drugs online. According to authorities, Rosen sold crystal meth to an undercover cop on multiple occasion, eventually leading to his arrest in August.

He was found in possession of crystal meth, Xanax and GBH, authorities said, and hit with multiple drug possession, and possession with intent to distribute charges.

Rosen was remanded to Bergen County Jail, but was released and arrested just two weeks later on Sept. 1 after he was involved in another drug transaction, authorities said.

He was charged with conspiracy to distribute a controlled dangerous substance during that arrest.

After his most recent arrest, the Prosecutor's Office announced that Rosen his being held again at Bergen County Jail, where he awaits a first appearance in court.
