FIFA World Cup Soccer Ball Fundraiser Dinner to Support Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Collection

BERGEN/PASSAIC COUNTIES, May, 2026—OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD Volunteers from Bergen/Passaic Counties will host a FIFA WORLD CUP SOCCER BALL FUNDRAISER DINNER to kick off collection season—with a goal of packing more than 18,000 shoeboxes with fun toys, school supplies and personal care items. Proceeds will support the purchase of soccer balls as the WOW toy inside the Christmas child shoeboxes.

The FIFA World Cup Soccer Ball Fundraiser Dinner will be held at Hawthorne Gospel Church, Fireside Room, 2000 State Route 208, Hawthorne, NJ 07506 on JUNE 4, 2026, 7-9 PM. Doors open at 6:30.

Guest speaker: Peggy Goitz will share her experience from her recent Vision trip to Trinidad & Tobago—a gift box destination--of how God is working through these simple shoeboxes.

Tickets are $20 per person.

Dinner includes: Taste of Hawthorne.Restaurants from Hawthorne and the surrounding area will showcase their food and beverages during the FIFA World Cup Fundraising Dinner of Hawthorne.
