This July 11th come experience American history firsthand as the members of Outwater’s Militia and other troops will be here on the grounds re-enacting the time that Washington’s troops actually stayed at the Hermitage in 1778.
There will be the firing of the muskets and doing drills. Interact with the troops and the many craftspeople doing demonstrations and showing their artifacts. Performances by Tricorne Dancers. Also there will be an on-going “Battle of Monmouth war game” for kids. And of course take a tour inside the historic Hermitage. It’s a fun, interactive day for the whole family!
