British pianist and composer Wilfie Williams is an exciting new voice on the New York jazz scene, bringing together groove, melody and spontaneous musical conversation. A full-scholarship graduate of Berklee College of Music, Williams studied with renowned artists including Terri Lyne Carrington, JoAnne Brackeen, Ralph Peterson Jr. and Tia Fuller. Since moving to New York, he has shared the stage with Stacy Dillard, Lonnie Plaxico, Steve Wilson, Dezron Douglas, Frank Lacy and Tyreek McDole. Leading his own ensemble, Williams brings an expressive blend of original compositions, deep swing and modern jazz sensibility to the BRVSH CUL7UR3 stage.
