Newark-born drummer and bandleader Victor Jones brings a world of rhythm to the Brvsh stage. His international career includes tours with jazz legends Stan Getz, Lou Donaldson, Dizzy Gillespie and James Moody, alongside soul and funk icons Chaka Khan, Phyllis Hyman and Stanley Clarke.
Equally at home in straight-ahead jazz, funk and contemporary sounds, Jones pairs deep musical roots with an adventurous spirit. Through his band Cultur-Versy, he explores the intersection of jazz, world music, hip-hop and electronic grooves.
Expect expressive playing, rhythmic fire and the musical instinct of an artist who has shared stages with some of music’s most distinctive voices.ation,
@victorfjones
