Trumpeter, composer, vocalist, and percussionist Pete Rodríguez brings a distinctive voice to jazz, drawing on his deep roots in Puerto Rican music, salsa, hip-hop, and the jazz tradition.
The son of legendary salsa singer Pete “El Conde” Rodríguez, Pete grew up surrounded by some of Latin music’s greatest artists before forging his own path as a bandleader and composer.
He has performed and recorded with icons including Eddie Palmieri and Tito Puente, while developing a sound that moves effortlessly between modern jazz, Latin rhythms, and soulful grooves. His music is deeply rooted in tradition, but always looking forward.
