A drummer who helped reshape jazz-funk. A saxophonist with a restless musical imagination. Mike Clark and Mike Zilber bring decades of experience, and plenty of unfinished musical conversation to Brvsh Cul7ur3.
Celebrated for his groundbreaking work with Herbie Hancock and The Headhunters, Clark brings rhythmic invention, deep swing and the unmistakable touch behind “Actual Proof.” His career includes collaborations with jazz luminaries such as Wayne Shorter, Christian McBride, Joe Henderson and Chet Baker.
Saxophonist, composer and bandleader Mike Zilber pairs a strong bebop foundation with adventurous harmonies and expressive improvisation. Long associated with the San Francisco Bay Area jazz scene and now based in Los Angeles, he has collaborated with Dave Liebman, Steve Smith and James Genus. His ongoing partnership with Clark includes their 2025 release, Standard Deviations, which finds fresh possibilities in familiar jazz standards and popular songs.
Hear that chemistry up close on November 7th. Join us for dinner, cocktails and two artists with much more to say.
