East Brook Family Honors Sandy Hook Victim's Memory
One of the school's teachers has a connection with the family of a young boy who was tragically killed in Newtown, Conn.

The East Brook Middle School family came together this month in memory of Jack Pinto, one of the young victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy last December.
Students were encouraged to wear team Jerseys in honor of the youngster who would have turned 7-years-old on May 7.
Efforts were spearheaded by Lisa Vreeland, sixth grade teacher, whose close friend Mary Radovitch from Newtown, Conn. is best friends with Jack Pinto's mother.

"Though I do not know Jack or his family directly, their story has touched my heart," said Vreeland. Four years ago she experienced the loss of her four day old son. She became close friends with Radovitch through a loss group she runs in Suffern, New York.
