Presented by the guidance departments at and middle schools in conjunction with the child study teams.
Keynote speaker Thom Stecher will speak to parents about the distractions and obstacles that middle school students deal with. Parents can understand what their children face and how to help them cope. After they keynote speaker, there will be break-out session covering the following topics:
- Coping with the stress of academic pressure, led by Dr. John Bearoff
- Social and emotial skills to deal with bullying and societal stress led by Alex Fizz
- At-risk youth behaviors: alcohol and other drugs and mental health concerns led by Dr. Terrell Proctor
