
"A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” William Shakespeare’s romantic comedy about young lovers and bumbling tradesmen who live in a fairy kingdom, opens August 2 at Bergen Community College.
The play will open in the Anna Maria Ciccone Theatre on the College’s main campus at 400 Paramus Road, in Paramus. Performances are scheduled for August 2 to 4 at 7:30 p.m. Mary Clifford, a theatre professor at Bergen, will direct the Illustrious Theatre Company, a not-for-profit theatre company based in Warwick, N.Y.
Centered on the marriage of the Duke of Athens, Theseus, and the Queen of the Amazons, Hippolyta, the story chronicles the adventures of four young Athenian lovers, a group of six amateur actors and fairies who inhabit the forest.

Tickets are $18 for general admission and $15 for students and seniors (65 and older) and are available by calling (201) 447-7428, online at http://tickets.bergen.edu or at the Box Office, one hour prior to the show.
