Tree Lighting and Winter Carnival

Paramus Recreation is holding its annual tree lighting.

This year, the ceremony will be followed fior the first time by a winter carnival at 7 p.m.

There will be activities for children, including inflatables, a train ride, games and refreshments, recreation director Sue Regan said. She added that Santa Claus, Rudolph and Frosty the Snowman will make appearances.

The Paramus High School choir, accompanied by a five-piece brass ensemble, will perform during the tree-lighting.

The rain date is Dec. 1.
