From the Editor: Goodbye Paramus Patch

Friday is my last day as editor of Paramus Patch, a publication I helped launch in October 2010.

It's been amazing year and a half, and I've been lucky to have met a number of you on the way. 

I want to thank my sources for trusting me to get the story right. You didn't have to pick up the phone, but you did, even when you had no idea what the heck Patch was. Hopefully you get it now.

I also want to thank each and every reader for giving this site a chance and keeping me on my toes with your questions and comments. All the work I put into the site was for you.

I'm moving on to another opportunity covering Bergen County for NJ.com, so our paths may still cross from time to time. I still live here, so you might even see me at the supermarket or the mall.

It's been a pleasure covering my home town, and I hope I did right by all of you.

Starting June 11, Maxim Almenas, a Fort Lee resident for over 20 years, will be the Guest Editor for Paramus Patch. He looks forward to getting to know all things Paramus as well the people that make Paramus a great community. Maxim has previously served as a staff writer at North Jersey Media Group (NJMG) for the Fort Lee Suburbanite, Leonia Life and Edgewater View. 

Maxim left NJMG in January 2012 to train as a triathlete for the inaugural Ironman U.S. Championship on Aug 11. He created TriTrekker.com to document his tranformation and learn more about the sport. He has freelanced as a reporter and guest editor for FortLee.Patch.com.
