Grant Helps Spruce Up Sept. 11 Memorial

Paramus High School student Joey Rizzolo used a $1,000 grant from Do Something to add plants to the . 

Rizzolo purchased more than 100 flowers, mulch and two trees for the memorial with the grant money. Members of the Freedom Walk Committee, Mayor Richard LaBarbiera and Barbara Pandolfo, whose daughter Dominique died in the Sept. 11 attacks, showed up to help with the planting.

"I was very happy with the results," Rizzolo said. "You can definitely tell the difference from before and after pictures."
