PARAMUS, NJ - Rashan Gary, the number-one high school football recruit in the county, announced he will play collegiate football for the University of Michigan.
Gary announced the selection live on ESPN Tuesday, National Signing Day.

The 6-foot-4, 287-pound defensive tackle had offers from nearly every major Division I football program in the country, according to ESPN.
Five of the eight ESPN top 300 class of 2016 prospects from New Jersey chose the Wolverines. According to ESPN, Gary is the first No. 1-ranked recruit to sign with Michigan since ESPN started ranking players in 2006. The most recent highest of Jabrill Peppers, who was ranked No. 2 in the 2014 class.
