
The Paramus High School baseball team, after scoring four runs in the first two innings, used a nine-run third to put away the Hackensack Comets 13-1 on Thursday afternoon.
Joe Szorentini picked up his first win of the season after going four innings, allowing three hits, a walk, a hit batsman, while striking out six.
Every Spartan in the lineup except Szorentini knocked in a run. Nick Henriquez went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI and three runs. Tony Billera went 3-for-3, scored twice and tallied three RBI. Matt Krum went 2-for-3 with a homer, three RBI, and two runs.

Brian Criscione, Tyler Garguilo, Chris Covello, and Frank Colasante each brought home a run for Paramus (2-0).
"This is what we've been waiting for," Garguilo said. "Everthing is starting to click: baserunning , hitting,defense and pitching."
