
The Spartan softball team defeated Kennedy 14-0 on Monday afternoon, scoring six runs in the first inning and adding the final eight in the second.
Lauren Feorenzo (1-0) picked up the win for Paramus. She pitched a one-hitter, hit two doubles and drove in two runs.
Outfielder Taylor Boffalo hit a home run and picked up three RBI. Stephanie Huang, Jackie Licari and Alissa Mirana tallied two RBI each. Shayna Brock, Kristina Meier and Victoria Vergona each added an RBI for Paramus (3-0).

"We're happy with the direction we're going in," said head coach Brian Hay.
Over the weekend, Paramus trailed Rutherford 4-2 and Immaculate Conception 1-0 before coming back to win both games.

While some of the players are struggling, the other members of the team have been able to pick up the slack.
"We still have a way to go with where we want to be," Hay added. "But if we can still win even though not everyone is hitting, that's still a positive."
