Paramus High School Students Attended Model Congress Saturday
Students experienced what a member of the U.S. House of Representatives does. Rep. Scott Garrett hosted the third annual event.

PARAMUS N.J. — Students from Paramus High School and dozens of others throughout Bergen County learned what it is like to be a Congressperson at the third annual Model Congress in Ridgewood Saturday.
Congressman Scott Garrett, who represents New Jersey's 5th Congressional District, sponsored the event.
Students were assigned to represent different states at the non-partisan event. Attendees researched legislation currently being considered by the House, broke up into committees to further examine the bill, debated it, and finally brought the legislation to the floor for a vote.
