Paramus Low-Cost Blood Chemistry Screenings Set For Friday, Saturday

The Paramus Health Department's two morning screenings include several common blood tests.

PARAMUS, NJ — Paramus residents looking to check in on key health measures have two chances this week. The Paramus Health Department will hold its low-cost blood chemistry screening Friday and Saturday at Paramus Borough Hall.

The sessions are scheduled for 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Friday and 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday in the Caucus Room, 1 West Jockish Square. The department flyer says services include a comprehensive metabolic panel, hemoglobin A1C, lipid panel, prostate-specific antigen and thyroid screening.

“There’s still time to register,” the department said in its September 8 Facebook post. The flyer says the program is open to Paramus residents 18 and older. A Health Department staff member told Patch that the screening is aimed at Paramus residents, though nonresidents will not be turned away.
