Paramus Police Remind Residents Of Cooling Center Locations During Heat Wave

Police officials encourage anyone who needs a safe, air-conditioned place to escape the heat to take advantage of these facilities.

PARAMUS, NJ — Paramus Police are advising residents of cooling centers in the local area as high temperatures are expected through the holiday weekend.

The cooling center, located at One Bergen County Plaza, will be open Tuesday, June 30, through Sunday, July 5, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.

Police officials encourage anyone who needs a safe, air-conditioned place to escape the heat to take advantage of the facility.

  • Bergenfield Senior Activity Center
  • Garfield Senior Activity Center
  • Northwest Senior Activity Center

Residents are also reminded to watch for signs of heat-related illness, including dizziness, nausea, confusion and a rapid pulse.
