Paramus School District Launches New Website

The new websites were designed with users in mind; they are streamlined, organized and can be easily viewed on any device.

From Paramus Public Schools: Paramus Public Schools recently unveiled new websites as part of the district’s effort to improve communication with the community. The district site and all eight individual school websites received updates to provide students, parents, staff, and borough residents with consistent, current, and meaningful communication.

The new websites were designed with users in mind; they are streamlined, organized and can be easily viewed on any device including smartphones and tablets. Accessibility is increasingly important for school districts like Paramus as families rely on websites as a main source of information.

“Communication is important to our work and the newly redesigned websites symbolize the efforts and systems we have put in place to ensure a more transparent and meaningful web presence is available for our community,” said Dr. Michele Robinson, superintendent of Paramus Public Schools.

The redesigned websites offer quick and easy access to essential information. Each website opens with a welcome message to the community and features a sidebar to highlight upcoming events and news. The new sites also include quick links to facilitate easy access for our parents, students, staff and community. This feature makes important information easy to find, including Board of Education meetings, supply lists, bus schedules, lunch information, and access to the Genesis parent portal.

The district’s partnership with School Webmasters means these websites will stay organized and up to date with the most current news and information. The website and social media launch comes in conjunction with the district’s hiring of a part-time communications coordinator.

The communication coordinator will help to generate content from the schools that is current and valuable to the community.

In addition to the launch of the websites, Paramus Public Schools has established an official social media presence on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest. The district plans to share announcements, pictures, videos, and other resources on these platforms. “We recognize that we need to meet parents where they are in order to get communications to them as easily as possible,” Dr. Robinson said about the social media launch. “We hope the community will take the opportunity to connect with the Paramus Public Schools community by following our Facebook and Twitter accounts.”
